LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this educational activity, participants
should be able to:
  • Provide amnestic drugs.  Utilize intraoperative
    electrophysiology monitoring.  
  • Manage hypotension accompanying neuraxial
    analgesia and anesthesia; “…phenylephrine may be
    preferable because of improved fetal acid– base
    status in uncomplicated pregnancies.”
  • Avoid neuraxial anesthesia in patients with infectious
    risks. Identify neuraxial infections.  Refer surgical
    candidates for Rx of such infections
